Accessing dualro.com is entirely free, and we do not require you to submit any personal or sensitive information. Your privacy is secure with us. While we do collect some non-personal data such as IP addresses, file types involved in conversions, conversion durations, and success or error statuses, this information is strictly used for internal performance monitoring. It is retained for an extended period but is never shared with third parties.

E-mail Addresses

You do not have to provide us your email address in order to use the DualRO service.

You may use our service without disclosing your email address as long as you stay within free tier limits. If you hit the limit, you will be offered to complete a simple registration and order a premium service. We guarantee that your email address and any personal information will not be subject to sale or lease for personal or commercial purposes.

Certain Exceptional Disclosures

We can make the disclosure of your personal information only in cases stipulated by law or in a court order.

Disclosure of your personal information can be done to protect our legal rights or if the information is a potential threat to the physical safety of any person.

User’s Files Handling and Keeping

We respect your privacy and handle your files with the utmost care. At no point do we read, inspect, or copy your files. You have full control to delete your uploaded files at any time.

Our platform processes over 1 million files (equivalent to 30 TB of data) each month. We ensure the immediate deletion of all input and temporary files following the completion of a conversion. Output files are also deleted instantly when you click 'X' in the web panel, or they are automatically removed after 24 hours if not manually deleted earlier. This policy affirms that you can manage your files independently at any moment.

Furthermore, we are unable to make backup copies of your files, even upon request. Creating a backup requires your explicit consent. Your files are uniquely linked to your IP address, ensuring that only you, the user who initiated the conversion, can access and download the resulting file.

Security

Be believe that security is the most important thing which is why we take all the possible measures to protect your files and personal data.

All communications between your host, our frontend server and conversion hosts are performed via secure channel with HSTS enabled, which prevents data to be altered or diverted. This completely protects your data from unauthorized access.

All collected information on the website is protected from disclosure and unauthorized access by using physical, electronic and managerial protection procedures. We keep your files in the European Union.

Your Rights

You can manage and modify your data in your profile if you have created one. You can delete your output files anytime.

You can delete your output files anytime by clicking on My Files on the top right and then clicking on the “X” icon on the right of the panel of a file you want to delete. Please note that they will be deleted anyway in 24 hours after conversion. We delete your input files right away.

You can delete your account easily on your own. This will delete your account and all associated data instantly.

Cookies, Analytics and Ads

We use cookies and Google Analytics in order to provide better user experience. Google AdSense collects only impersonalized data in order to customize advertising for you.

dualro.com uses cookies to store information and track user’s limits.

We also use third party advertising networks and can’t rule out the possibility that some of these advertisers will use their own tracking technologies. By placing an ad, advertisers can gather information about your IP address, browser capabilities, and other impersonalized data in order to customize your ad usage experience, measure the effectiveness of advertising, etc. Google AdSense, which is our main advertising provider, uses cookies extensively and its tracking behavior is part of Google's own privacy policy. Other third party ad network providers can also use cookies under their own privacy policies.

We use Google Analytics as our main analytics software, in order to get insights about how our visitors use our website and deliver better user experience for our users. Google Analytics gathers your personal data under their own privacy policy which you should review carefully.

While browsing dualro.com, users can stumble upon links that will lead to third-party websites. Often these sites will be a part of our company’s network and you can be assured that your personal data is safe, but as a general precaution, remember to check the third-parties site’s own privacy policy.

We adhere to stringent data protection laws and are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a key EU regulation designed to protect the privacy and personal data of individuals across the EU and European Economic Area. The GDPR has been enforceable since May 25, 2018.

Under the GDPR, DualRO serves both as a data controller and a data processor:

• As a Data Controller: DualRO collects and processes personal data when providing services to end users. This occurs, for example, when you upload files, which may include personal data. Should you reach the limits of our free service tier and choose to upgrade, we also collect your email address to manage your premium account. Our privacy policy provides detailed information on the data we collect and how we handle it. This includes collecting your IP address, access times, types of files converted, and average conversion error rates. We ensure that this data is not shared with any third parties.

• As a Data Processor: When processing data on behalf of our customers, DualRO adheres to strict security standards to ensure the highest level of data protection and maintains all data within the EU throughout the file conversion process.

Additionally, DualRO does not extract, collect, share, or copy any data from your files. In compliance with our "User’s Files Handling and Keeping" policy, all your files are irreversibly deleted after processing.
